Drew's First School Dance

There was a K through 2nd grade Hoedown at Drew's school today. Drew has been talking about it for days!! This morning when we woke up, it had snowed so school was delayed for 2 hours. He was so glad he didn't have to miss the big dance! After he got dressed this morning he asked me, "mommy, do I look hot?" Although I told him he looked very handsome, we also had to have a conversation about how I really don't want our 5 year old describing himself or others as "hot". :) Scott has also been giving our friend Jamie a hard time after his daughter Emily told them she could NOT WAIT to "hoe dance" with Drew. We have gotten a lot of laughs out of this little dance. It was tons of fun!

Tate is ONE!!

Our sweet precious Tate turned ONE!! It is amazing how quickly a whole year can pass by!! Our family came to see Drew's basketball game and then afterward we had a little party for Tate. Like both of his brothers, he did NOT enjoy his birthday cake!! :)

Snow Day 1.10.2011

Okay, Okay . . . I know it's been literally YEARS, but one of my new year's resolutions was to update this blog!!! We are currently snowed in and here are a few pictures from when we ventured outside. The newspaper said Athens got 9 inches but I'm not sure we got quite that much here. It doesn't sound like there will be much melting for another few days. We have cabin fever, but are thankful to be in a warm house and have plenty of food! :) By the way, we affectionately call the hat Scott has on his "road kill" hat!!! Thank you Cliff Barnette for the lovely gift!

Here is a video of Reedy Sledding in our neighborhood

We named this "who spiked my juice?!"

Drew's First Upward Basketball Game

Drew is playing Upward basketball this year and it is so perfect for him! It is very low-key and a great way for him to learn the fundamentals of basketball. He absolutely loves it! His first game was Saturday and we weren't sure he would get to play. On Friday he had to get a shot of antibiotics for strep and an ear infection. The shot worked amazingly fast and he was back up and running by Friday afternoon. He woke up VERY excited on game day had his basketball uniform on by 6:30 a.m.

New Year's Day

Every year on New Year's Day, Molly has a party. And every year something happens and we are not able to go! This year we were so excited because we were finally able to go!! Molly has been a dear friend of mine since we were about 16 years old. We loved spending time with the Moore family and their friends and having some delicious New Year's food!!

Day After Christmas Snow

The day after Christmas, the boys were so excited to see snow on the ground when they woke up. They got to play outside a little, but we mostly stayed inside. Tate made a very brief appearance outside just long enough to get his picture taken with the little snowman.

Christmas 2010

We had a great time on Christmas morning! We got up and opened our presents as a family and then Gigi, Uncle Matt, Uncle Chris, and Aunt Gemma came over for brunch and presents. Tate enjoyed opening presents for the first time and the big boys got a trampoline. We all had so much fun! I was especially proud of myself for using my Christmas china as opposed to paper products this year!! :) Everyone had to leave a little earlier than usual to get home before the snow. We had our first White Christmas ever, but by the time it got to our area, it was Christmas night. We got to enjoy it the day after Christmas though!!
